Great Story

I had an e-mail sitting in my account a few weeks ago from a lovely lady requesting a plaque like the one I made for our neice for Christmas (see picture).  This lady had wanted it for a baby shower she was going to in a few weeks.  After I had finished the piece she told me the reason she requested it.  She was shopping on Etsy and had seen the plaque sample that we had done for our neice. She had lost her 21 year old son in June 2009.  Her Bible verse for him throughout his life was Jeremiah 29:11, and it's on his epitaph. 

"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 

What an incredible verse for any child, a promise that God will take care of all of us, no matter what happens; He will be there to hold us like a Daddy holding a little one who just fell off of their bike, saying everything is going to be alright.  When you're broken and crying and don't know how to go on He's there, with arms wide open.  A statement straight from our Saviour saying He has an exact, Divine plan for all of us.  It says to me that no matter what I go through God has a plan for me, a good plan, better than any other plan I could think of for myself.   

To continue the story:  a childhood friend of the son was pregnant when he lost his life and she named her little girl after him.  She said that when she saw the plaque sample she knew she had to get it for a shower gift!  We printed the scripture over the baby's name, Makayleigh, what a beautiful name!  I did learn later that the lady's son accepted Christ as his Saviour 6 weeks before he lost his life.

It's been a long time!!!

Whew!  I thought that when we started this blog I would be on here all the time updating and posting new stuff, but with JJ, some shows we have done, and getting the new vinyl cutter things have been crazy!  Like I mentioned, we got a vinyl cutter in early December.  This is what the majority of our business is going to be from now on.  We can make wood plaques of solid wood or MDF, your choice, any size.  Look at the pics!  We can do any type of wall lettering, corrugated signs, window decals, vehicle decals, magnets, banners, ANYTHING!  I'll be posting more work soon and pics of some wall lettering (wall art).
